Refurbished to a high standard in 2020 Owl Cottage is a delightful Georgian cottage located on Victoria Street just behind the Swan hotel. Only a 2-minute walk to Southwold High Street and Southwold beach.
Dating from 1850 Owl Cottage has many period features including exposed timbers and an original winder staircase. In refurbishing the property much use has been made of solid oak fittings and fixtures.
About Owl Cottage
Living Room
The living room has a 3-seater leather sofa, an armchair and log burning stove. It has a Smart TV and there is a work desk with USB charger.
Kitchen
The kitchen has Smeg appliances including a gas hob, extractor fan and single electric oven and fridge. It also has a coffee machine and microwave. There is also a Ruark DAB radio
Utility room
The utility room has a Smeg dishwasher and Miele washing machine. A large butler sink useful for wet beachwear.
Ground floor shower room
The shower room has a walk in shower, WC and Basin.
First floor bathroom
The first floor bathroom has a cast iron roll top bath from the Cast Iron Bath Company. It has a WC and basin.
Water pressure in the bathroom and shower room is excellent being supplied by a large Joule water cylinder.
First floor Bedroom
The first floor bedroom has a king sized bed with a Simba mattress. Either side of the bed are wall mounted Anglepoise lamps and there is a Sony TV.
Second floor bedroom
The Second floor bedroom has two single beds also with Simba mattresses.
Courtyard Garden
Outside there is a courtyard garden with a great view of the iconic Southwold lighthouse. There is a table and chairs seating four.
WIFI
Fibre Broadband and Wi-Fi is provided and there is a boaster to ensure a strong signal can be accessed throughout the house.
Linen and Towels
One set of Linen is provided for all the beds. Bath towels are provided together with towels for the beach. If the duration of your stay is longer then arrangements can be made for a linen change mid-stay for a modest extra charge.
Parking
There is unrestricted parking on Victoria Street. If you cannot find parking in Victoria Street there is plenty of unrestricted parking on many streets surrounding the cottage and in Southwold generally. In the event that it is not possible to find on street parking there is a Long stay parking next to Southwold Pier.
Other things
Energy costs are included. We have no baby facilities – bring your own cot, hi-chair, safety gates, changing mats. No smoking in the property or pets allowed.

Terms and Conditions
Please arrive after 4pm and depart before 10.30am.
30% deposit is required at the time of booking, we don’t charge a deposit for breakages but trust that you will pay for any damages or try to buy a replacement. Balance is due 10 weeks before start of holiday.
Any cancellations made 10 weeks or less from the start of your holiday will be charged at the full rate, unless we can re-book those dates, in which case we will refund the full amount minus the deposit amount. The deposit is non refundable.
